Dr Orla Halpenny

Orla Halpenny is from Dublin and trained in NUI Galway. After internship and first year SHO at ST James's Hospital, Dublin she completed a Masters in Medical Science in UCD. She obtained a licentiate in philosophy in the University of the Holy Cross, Rome. On returning to Ireland she began working in General Practice and obtained the Diploma in Medicine for the Elderly in 2007. She obtained teh MICGP and the Diploma in Substance Misuse in 2013. She now works in Blackrock, Co Dublin. In 2012, Dr. Halpenny edited and contributed to Steady Air: Exploring Catholicism at Work, with Dr. Desmond O’Neill, Ronán Mullen, Peadar Cremins and Thomas Finnegan (Cambridge Scholars Press).
